About Us
From Left to right: James T. Meyers Funeral Director, Danielle Meyers Funeral
Assistant and her father Walter J. Meyers Jr. Funeral Director and Supervisor. We
as a family owned and operated funeral home relate on a personal level. We are
concerned about your feelings and share in your grief.
Death is scary, plain and simple. It’s something that most don’t wish to discuss
for the obvious reasons. But, unfortunately, most of us will have to bear this
hardship at some point in our lives. Some will be forced to bear death through
tragic and unexpected circumstances; some will live to be more than a century
young and others will have pre-planned a funeral listing every single detail,
but in each instance, your heart will still grieve.
Grieving is a process that has no time limit. It’s something you take one day
at a time, maybe even one moment at a time. If there is one thing I believe;
it’s that we are here to remind you that even though our loved ones are no longer
within our touch; they will always be within our hearts.
Today, we share and strive to emulate what my grandparents have taught us by
word and example. Since 1946, we have been helping the bereaved cope with the
loss of those they have loved and we have made some very dear and close friends
along the way.
Today, the Walter J. Meyers Funeral Home still resides at 6643-45 Torresdale Avenue
, a completely family owned and operated business. And…for now, it is our only
location.
